Voices for Vulnerable Dogs Across Africa
Best friends is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to protecting vulnerable dogs and cats across African communities, from busy city streets to rural villages. We focus on rescue, rehabilitation, and responsible rehoming, while building local capacity through education and community partnerships.
MISSION
Our mission is to protect, heal, and uplift dogs in need across Africa by providing rescue, veterinary care, safe shelter, and pathways to adoption, while empowering communities with the knowledge and tools to care for their animals responsibly.
VISSION
Our vision is an Africa where every dog is safe, healthy, and cherished as part of the family and the community. We are working towards a future in which strong local networks—foundations, shelters, vets, and volunteers—collaborate across borders to end the cycle of suffering for dogs.
MILESTONE
We have accomplished a good number of milestones in less than two years.
*100 Dogs Safely Off the Streets.
*First Community Vet Day Successfully Completed.
*50 Dogs Spayed and Neutered.
